HGV Daily Walkaround Check Checklist
A DVSA daily vehicle check template covering all first-use walkaround items — from lights, tyres and brakes through to load security, AdBlue and driver declaration. Print it, or drop it into your fleet system as the basis for a digital check.
Who it's for
HGV drivers, transport managers and anyone holding an O-licence.
How to use this template
- 1One sheet per vehicle per day. The driver signs the declaration at the bottom of the list.
- 2Any defect gets raised the same day — record rectification against the same reference so the loop is closed.
- 3Retain completed checks for at least 15 months; DVSA will ask for them at a maintenance investigation.
