An O-licence audit shouldn't be a scramble.
Rampify keeps driver, vehicle and maintenance compliance in one place, with expiry dates that chase themselves before a DVSA visit ever happens.
- Who it's for
- UK fleet operators and O-licence holders
- What you should see
- Every licence, inspection and defect evidenced and in date, ready to show on request.
All access managed securely via your Nightingale Admin Centre.
Does any of this sound familiar?
These are the situations Rampify was built to remove.
Expiry dates live in someone's head
Licence checks, tacho downloads, MOTs and inspections are diarised informally — until the person holding the diary is off.
Defect reports never close the loop
A driver reports a defect, the paper goes in a tray, and nobody can prove what was done about it.
Audits mean weeks of paper-chasing
Preparing for a DVSA visit or transport consultant review turns into a full-time job for the office.
Maintenance falls behind schedule
Safety inspections drift past their interval because nothing flags them until the vehicle is off the road.
No single view across depots
Multi-site operators cannot see compliance status without ringing round each depot.
How Rampify fixes it.
Three steps. No implementation project required.
- 1
Load your fleet
Import vehicles, drivers and their documents. Rampify sets the schedule from your O-licence conditions.
- 2
Everything is checked daily
Walkaround checks, defects and driver licence checks run through the app and post straight to the record.
- 3
Show the evidence
Produce a compliance pack for any vehicle, driver or date range without opening a filing cabinet.
What you get out of it.
Five things a business owner cares about, and what each one looks like in practice.
No more paper chase
Compliance evidence is produced in a couple of clicks instead of a couple of weeks.
Fewer vehicles off the road
Inspections and defects are dealt with on schedule rather than at the roadside.
Protect the O-licence
Nothing expires quietly. The record shows what was checked, by whom and when.
One fleet view
Compliance status by vehicle, driver and depot on one screen.
Built around DVSA expectations
Walkaround checks, defect rectification and inspection intervals recorded in the form an examiner asks for.

Everything in Rampify, grouped by how you'll use it.
18 capabilities across booking, team experience, intelligence and operations — with more shipping every release.
- DVSA-aligned walk-around
Category-aware checklists for HGV, van, car and trailers — including coupling, susies and ABS for artics. Drivers complete every check from the cab.
- Photo evidence on every fail
Any failed item demands a photo before the check closes. Files are stored securely behind signed access.
- Live VOR & availability
A fail auto-locks the vehicle (and the trailer) until a manager clears it. No silent defects, no ghost bookings.
- Role-based access
Drivers see only their assigned vehicles. Admins see everything. Strict tenant separation on every table.

Why Rampify exists.
DVSA compliance is not one big problem — it's dozens of small ones running in parallel: daily walk-arounds, defect rectification within stated time, six-weekly PMIs, driver hours, tachograph downloads, licence checks and CPC currency. Each on its own is manageable; together they are exactly what a transport manager cannot keep in a spreadsheet forever.
The regulatory posture matters too. An OCRS score deteriorates quietly, and by the time a vehicle is stopped roadside the underlying evidence of a good compliance culture — walk-around records, defect fixes, PMI history — needs to be produced in minutes, not days.
What it costs to leave this unsolved.
Qualitative framing based on what operations teams routinely tell us — not a promise of specific savings.
Poor evidence of walk-arounds and defect rectification is the single most common reason operators are called before the Traffic Commissioner.
Defects that fall between the driver's report and the workshop schedule are the number one cause of unplanned VOR — and unplanned VOR is the number one cause of missed customer commitments.
Insurers now routinely ask for evidence of walk-around completion rates and defect close-out times at renewal.
What Rampify does about it.
Rampify gives every driver a walk-around checklist that must be completed before a vehicle can be marked ready. Defects flow straight to the workshop, the vehicle is VOR-flagged, and PMIs are scheduled against real mileage — not the calendar.
The transport manager gets a single compliance dashboard covering vehicles, drivers, CPCs, tachographs and licences — with alerts for anything falling out of currency in the next 30 days.
Every action is timestamped and evidence-backed, so the operator's compliance story is defensible whether it's requested by the DVSA, an insurer or the board.
Every capability, grouped by workflow.

Practical outcomes teams report.
- Walk-around completion rates typically climb toward 100% within the first month once drivers cannot mark a vehicle ready without one.
- Defect close-out times shorten because the workshop sees new defects the moment they are reported.
- Compliance evidence is producible in minutes at the roadside or in the office.

We'd rather show you real ones.
Rampify is a young product and we won't publish quotes we haven't earned. Customer stories will appear here as early customers agree to be named — with their own words and their own numbers, not ours. Until then, the free tier is the honest way to judge it: run it on real work for a fortnight and see what changes.

Rampify questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Starter, scaling up, and optional onboarding.
What's included in the free Starter tier?+
Starter is free forever for 1 vehicle and 1 driver. You get the full DVSA-aligned walk-around, defect logging, manual maintenance entry, the fleet dashboard and basic compliance reports — enough for an owner-operator or to pilot Rampify before rolling out to the whole fleet.
How does Pro pricing scale?+
Pro is £199/month + £5.99 per active vehicle — with unlimited vehicles and drivers, and no per-driver fee. That unlocks automated maintenance reminders, predictive maintenance alerts, driver scorecards, the fleet utilisation heatmap and automated weekly compliance reports. Every asset you add is billed at the same transparent rate.
What does the £199/month Pro base fee include?+
The base fee covers the automation layer that runs across your whole fleet — automated reminders (services, MOTs, licence checks), the weekly compliance report engine, and the driver-scorecard and utilisation-heatmap analytics — regardless of fleet size. Per-vehicle and per-driver usage is billed on top.
When do I need Enterprise?+
Enterprise unlocks GaleAI fleet intelligence — AI vehicle risk scoring, a maintenance-savings calculator, a fleet replacement forecast, predictive failure alerts and driver training recommendations — plus SSO/SAML, custom DVSA earned-recognition reporting and a dedicated success manager. Quoted per agreement.
What is GaleAI fleet intelligence?+
GaleAI is an Enterprise-only AI layer that reads your Rampify data (with the same row-level security as the app) and scores each vehicle by predicted risk, quantifies maintenance savings vs. the reactive baseline, forecasts optimal replacement timing, and flags likely failures before they turn into roadside prohibitions.
Will it satisfy my O-licence and DVSA obligations?+
Yes — Rampify is built around the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness and earned-recognition KPIs. You'll have a defensible audit trail of walk-arounds, defects, 6-week inspections, MOTs and rectifications ready to show the Traffic Commissioner. Rampify is ICO registered and aligned with UK GDPR.
Which vehicle categories are supported?+
HGV, LGV/van, car and trailers, including artic-specific checks (coupling, susies and ABS). Trailers get their own record and VOR status, so a failed coupling can lock the trailer independently of the tractor.
Is my data isolated from other operators?+
Yes. Data is tenant-scoped with row-level security on every table and signed access on files. Drivers only ever see the vehicles assigned to them; admins only ever see their own operator's fleet.
Is there an onboarding fee?+
No fee to self-serve from Starter or Pro. Larger fleets can opt into an onboarding package covering data migration, driver training and integration with your existing telematics or workshop system.
