Your drivers are waiting for free.
Rekuver records every minute a driver spends waiting at a distribution centre, turns it into an evidenced claim, and invoices it — so waiting time stops being a write-off.
- Who it's for
- UK hauliers, freight operators and owner-driver fleets
- What you should see
- Every waiting event evidenced and invoiced instead of quietly absorbed.
All access managed securely via your Nightingale Admin Centre.
Does any of this sound familiar?
These are the situations Rekuver was built to remove.
Waiting time is never billed
The driver waits two hours at a DC, mentions it on the phone, and nobody raises an invoice. It happens every week and never reaches the P&L.
No evidence when it's challenged
The customer disputes the wait, the proof is in a WhatsApp thread, and the claim is dropped rather than argued.
Claims cost more to raise than they recover
Building a claim by hand takes an hour of office time, so anything under a few hundred pounds gets written off on principle.
Free-time windows are missed
Nobody is watching the clock against each agreement, so chargeable time starts and finishes without anyone noticing.
No idea which sites are costing you
Without a claim history you cannot tell your worst-performing customer, DC or lane from your best.
Cash arrives late, if at all
Even accepted claims sit unpaid because there is no invoice, no chaser and no payment route attached to them.
How Rekuver fixes it.
Three steps. No implementation project required.
- 1
Driver checks in
The driver starts a wait on their phone. Rekuver records GPS position, timestamps and a site one-time code.
- 2
The claim builds itself
When free time is exceeded, Rekuver prices the wait against your agreement and assembles the evidence pack.
- 3
You invoice and get paid
The claim goes out with the evidence attached and payment settles into your own bank account.
What you get out of it.
Five things a business owner cares about, and what each one looks like in practice.
Claims in seconds, not hours
Evidence is captured as the wait happens, so nobody rebuilds the story afterwards.
You only pay on money recovered
There is no upfront licence on Starter. Rekuver takes a success fee on demurrage you actually collect.
Disputes you can win
GPS position, site code and photographs make a claim hard to argue with.
See who is really costing you
Waiting time by customer, site and lane, so commercial conversations start with numbers.
A defensible record
Every claim keeps its full history for audit, insurer or customer review.
Results customers get with this product.
Track waiting time, auto-generate demurrage claims, invoice the customer, and collect payment — all from the driver's phone to your bank account.
- Recover 5-figure sums per quarter from silently-written-off DC waiting time
- Claim prep drops from hours to seconds — auto-built from verified driver sessions
- Audit-ready evidence trail on every claim (GPS, 6-digit OTC, photos)
Everything in Rekuver, grouped by how you'll use it.
18 capabilities across booking, team experience, intelligence and operations — with more shipping every release.
- GPS geofence punches
Haversine geofence detects arrival and departure automatically — drivers never type an address.
- One-time-code verification
A 6-digit code is emailed to the DC contact and read back by the driver. Fraud-resistant by design, audit-logged for every claim.
- Battery-safe wait timer
Polling slows when stationary and pauses when the screen is off — typical impact is comparable to a messaging app.
- Photo evidence
Drivers attach on-site photos, timestamped and tied to the verified wait session.

Why Rekuver exists.
Demurrage and detention charges are the single largest source of avoidable spend for UK importers. Charges accrue quietly at the terminal or on the driver's watch, invoices arrive weeks later, and by the time the finance team sees them the evidence needed to dispute is already stale.
Most teams reach the same point: the invoice is 'probably wrong' but chasing it costs more in staff time than paying it. Carriers know this. The industry standard tariff pages allow for daily escalation, and disputes are only accepted with GPS-verifiable timelines, terminal gate moves and a properly-referenced Bill of Lading.
The core problem isn't the tariff — it's that operations teams don't have a defensible record when it matters. Rekuver was built to close that gap.
What it costs to leave this unsolved.
Qualitative framing based on what operations teams routinely tell us — not a promise of specific savings.
Any team without a structured evidence pack tends to write off carrier invoices under a certain value on principle. That value adds up quickly across a busy import book.
Container free-time typically expires between three and seven days depending on the carrier and terminal — a window that is easy to miss without a clock running against every live container.
Without a searchable claims history, operations teams cannot see which lanes, hauliers or terminals are responsible for the majority of avoidable charges — so the same problems recur next quarter.
What Rekuver does about it.
Rekuver puts a real-time free-time clock against every container, ties GPS-verified arrival and departure times to the corresponding gate moves, and generates a claim-ready evidence pack the moment a carrier tries to charge outside the tariff.
The workspace is designed to be operated by a single dispatcher or transport manager — not a team of claim handlers. Everything from container ingestion to carrier reply is tracked in one place, with automatic reminders when a response is overdue.
Recovered charges are then reported back at the lane, haulier and terminal level, so the underlying operational cause can be addressed — not just the symptom.
Every capability, grouped by workflow.
Live container tracking
- Free-time countdown
Every container carries a live clock counting down against carrier free-time, colour-coded by risk.
- GPS-verified arrival & departure
Timestamps captured from the driver's device create an audit trail that carriers will accept.
- Terminal gate-move ingest
Direct ingest of terminal gate-in / gate-out messages where the terminal supports it.
Evidence & claims
- One-click evidence pack
Bill of Lading, free-time tariff extract, terminal gate moves and internal timeline exported as a single PDF.
- Tariff library
Referenceable tariff extracts for every major carrier operating into UK ports.
- Claim status tracking
Submitted, acknowledged, in review, disputed, recovered — every claim moves through a defined workflow with SLA reminders.
Recovery & reporting
- Root-cause reporting
Recovered charges are tagged by cause so recurring issues surface at lane, haulier and terminal level.
- Carrier scorecards
Recovery rate, average time-to-decision and dispute reason mix, by carrier.
- Finance export
Monthly recovery report as CSV / accountant-friendly PDF.
How Rekuver runs, end to end
- 1
Container ingested
Bill of Lading and container numbers are added manually or via CSV / API.
- 2
Free-time clock starts
Rekuver watches the free-time window against the carrier tariff.
- 3
Driver captures arrival
GPS-verified timestamp at terminal gate-in and gate-out.
- 4
Charge appears
Invoice logged against the container; Rekuver flags any charges outside the tariff.
- 5
Evidence pack generated
One-click PDF ready to send to the carrier with tariff reference and gate moves.
- 6
Dispute tracked to close
Reminders, replies and recovered amount all captured against the original container.
Practical outcomes teams report.
- Teams typically recover the workspace fee within their first two or three successful disputes.
- A single dispatcher can run the full claims workflow without adding headcount.
- Carriers respond faster when disputes arrive with structured evidence attached from the start.
- Recurring causes get visible enough to be fixed rather than repeatedly disputed.
Common use cases.
High-volume container books where any single charge is small but the annual total is material. Rekuver's automation lets a single dispatcher recover charges that would otherwise be written off.
Client-level segregation with per-client recovery reporting, so recovered charges can be passed back or netted off against invoices transparently.
Support customers with claim packs even where the container is not on your own paper — the tariff library and evidence generator work equally well as an internal service.
Fits your stack.
Any TMS or freight platform can be brought online in minutes via structured CSV.
Push container events directly from your TMS. Documentation available on request.
Single sign-on and shared user directory across every other Nightingale product.
How your data is protected.
Data is segregated per workspace with strong access controls and full audit logging on every claim action.
Hosted in the UK on infrastructure with SOC 2 aligned providers; the operating company is ICO registered.

- Success-fee pricing means it costs nothing until it recovers something, and the evidence pack is built for the way customers actually dispute claims.
We'd rather show you real ones.
Rekuver is a young product and we won't publish quotes we haven't earned. Customer stories will appear here as early customers agree to be named — with their own words and their own numbers, not ours. Until then, the free tier is the honest way to judge it: run it on real work for a fortnight and see what changes.

Rekuver questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Starter, scaling up, and optional onboarding.
What's included in the free Starter tier?+
Starter is free to use with unlimited claims, unlimited users, unlimited depots and unlimited vehicles. There is no monthly fee and no upfront cost — Rekuver takes a 20% success fee on demurrage you actually recover. If you don't recover, you don't pay.
How does Pro pricing work?+
Pro is £299/month with unlimited claims, users, depots and vehicles, plus the AI Claim Success Predictor, AI Claim Prioritisation and Recovery Benchmarking. On Pro the success fee drops to 15% of recovered demurrage — so the more you recover, the better the economics vs Starter.
How is a waiting-time claim "verified"?+
Every wait timer only starts after a 6-digit one-time code is emailed to the distribution centre contact and read back by the driver. The session is GPS-stamped inside the DC's Haversine geofence, audit-logged, and optionally photographed. Customers get the full trail with each invoice — disputes drop to near zero.
How do payments reach my bank account?+
You connect your own Stripe account in one click during onboarding. Customers pay a branded Rekuver checkout link by card; funds settle directly into your bank on Stripe's standard payout schedule. Rekuver takes only its success fee on recovered demurrage — 20% on Starter, 15% on Pro, 10% on Enterprise.
Will tracking drain my drivers' phone batteries?+
No. Rekuver only polls high-accuracy GPS when the driver is on site and stationary, slows polling when moving, and pauses entirely when the screen is off. Typical impact is comparable to a messaging app.
When do I need Enterprise?+
Enterprise is custom pricing with a 10% success fee on recovered demurrage. It adds dedicated onboarding, API integrations, SSO, custom reporting and priority support — for multi-depot hauliers and 3PLs where a lower success fee and deeper integration pay back quickly.
Is my data isolated from other hauliers?+
Yes — every record (drivers, centres, claims, sessions, evidence photos) is partitioned by tenant and protected by row-level security at the database layer. Two companies can run on Rekuver side by side and neither can see the other's data.
